Career Support

Developing your career is a process. We encourage you to do what you can while at LFS to gain experience and try things out. Doing this will help you learn more about what you like and don’t like and will show employers that you have strengthened your skills. Remember, all of your experience counts – both inside and outside the classroom, paid and unpaid.

Our Top Tips for Getting Started:

  1. Check out “What can I do with my Land and Food Systems degree?” to learn about different types of experiences, involvement, and careers in LFS. Look deeper into the 8 LFS majors – skills and career possibilities.
  2. Refer to the many online career resources from the UBC Career Centre.
  3. Follow @careercarrots on Instagram and listen to the Career Carrots podcast on Apple Podcast, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.
