Dr. Maja Krzic is the founder and the co-chair of the Soil Education Committee, within the Canadian Society of Soil Science (2014-present).

She is an Editor of the Natural Sciences Education journal (2020-2025), for which she served as Associated Editor (2013-2018). She also currently serves on the editorial board of the Canadian Journal of Soil Science (2019-present). During 2018-21, Maja served as the lead Editor for an online, open access textbook "Digging into Canadian Soils: An Introduction to Soil Science" available at
