What are the highlights in your current role?
Working for the BC public service presents you with exciting opportunities to take on temporary assignments with different teams and/or Ministries across the Provincial government. I am currently on a temporary assignment with the Climate Action Secretariat where I am supporting the development of a cross-government Provincial initiative called the Climate Preparedness and Adaptation Strategy.
Share your tops tip with students just starting at UBC
Looking back at my time as a student, I wish I was more proactive in seeking out mentorship. This was a time during which I was contemplating several career paths, and who better to seek advice from, than those with career paths that inspired me. Be proactive! Reach out and connect, the best things often happen unexpectedly!
How do you stay connected with UBC alumni and LFS?
I have been participating in the LFS Mentorship Program as a mentor for two years now and have appreciated the opportunity to connect with students, learn more about their career aspirations and share a thing or two from my journey so far.
